  1. Thankfully I was introduced to Rich Dad Poor Dad very young so learned the concept of assets and liabilities before I got into the real world. Then Total Money Makeover was gifted to me as a college graduation gift. In both cases I wasn’t seeking the information, but others gave it to me. Those two really were great introductions to personal finance and set me on a path to be debt free and then start focusing on assets and investments. My third is not on your list but The Only Investment Guide You’ll Ever Need was good for me as a novice investor because it speaks in plain language and made investing simple. Now about to start The Millionaire Next Door.

  2. I have read most of these books, still need to read Think and Grow Rich and Th Bogleheads Guide to Investing.

Its interesting that Dave Ramsay and Robert Kiosaki are on this list together as they are polar opposites. How do you balance what they teach? How do you decide which to use?

  3. I also love 'The Wealthy Barber'. It's always the first book I recommend someone read if they feel like they're starting from 0 when it comes to managing their finances. It's super beginner friendly, AND it has a Canadian edition! The Intelligent Investor is the absolute best book for anyone who is at the stage of starting to invest!

  4. Commenting for the algo as I stop by to pick my next. Thinking Bogleheads, as I like the name. Started with "Rich Dad Poor Dad" as my in-laws recommended it. "Total Money Makeover" was second, because Dave Ramsey recommended it 😂

    Thanks, Marko, for the list.

  5. I use credit cards – the ones that return a 1.5 and 2% interests. Why? Because if I buy a thing for $100, getting $ return based on that amount is actually a good idea. 🙂

  6. Thanks Marco. I've only read rich Dad and up until chapter 4 of think and grow rich and thought it was a bunch of nonsense mostly. It's an understatement to say it was repetitive. My list so far is:
    -Rich dad poor dad
    -your money or your life
    -richest man in Babylon
    -millionaire next door

  7. Great video, great channel. I’ve read almost all of them. I read “The Millionaire Next Door” 25+ years ago and made it my goal to become a Millionaire next door. Following the advice, it worked! My mother is very financially savvy and taught me the concepts you teach when I was growing up. Not everyone has a parent like that, so it is so wonderful that you take the time to share your knowledge with anyone who wants to listen! I send your videos to my sons in college, and share with friends. Keep up the good work, you are making a difference in people’s lives! Thank you!😊

  8. The Intelligent Investor is my favorite. Benjamin Graham is quite remarkable. I think Ben Graham understood the stock market better than most people during his time. Although Graham taught value investing, he was probably aware of market efficiency to some degree, even though the hypothesis wasn't formally proposed at that time. I saw an old clip of Graham referring to the way wall street professionals off set each other's brilliance. This is just a remarkable comment coming from that era. Graham was clearly referring to "Paradox of skill."

  9. I have suggestion. Live under your own precious metal standard. Stated another way, earn income, pay expenses then covert your assets to silver. So when you buy stuff it represents a certain amount of silver. Everything in your mind should be valued in silver.

  10. The Richest Man in Babylon is the best one in my list. I try to read it once a year to refresh on it's principles.
I've been reading it since early college and it has served me well.
Pay yourself first and don't eat the children of your savings.

  11. This is very disappoint that you have Rich Dad Poor Dad on your list.
I guess you can learn something from it if you are 19 .
Even if all you farmer in a 3rd world country you would already have the knowledge in that book.
Also the story is made up…like the The Richest Man in Babylon.
